Shannon Heffernan Owner of Dynamic Motion Golf Performance Golf Performance Trainer MKin, CEP, TPI-3, FRCms, FRA PGA of Canada Class A Professional
With over 15 years experience in golf performance, Shannon's focus is to help golfers of all skill levels create their own resilient and powerful golf bodies. Shannon's extensive knowledge of golf kinematics allows her to help her clients gain awareness of their joints to improve both joint function and golf swing technique.
“The golf swing is not a natural human motion. Training specifically for golf is necessary to build a solid foundation of joint mobility and capacity to avoid injury, create power and improve technique.”
Shannon resides in Calgary, Alberta with her Husband Wes Heffernan and their two kids Mackenzie and Jacob. Shannon grew up in the small tourist town of Westport, Ontario where she developed a love for both fitness and golf. With her strong passion for athletics, Shannon graduated with Honours in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario where she also played on the women's varsity Golf Team. After graduating Shannon pursued her love for golf and became a PGA of Canada Golf Professional while completing a Master's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Shannon's Master's degree focused on golf kinematics and stability training.
After graduating from the University of Calgary Shannon continued her learning with the Titleist Performance Institute becoming a Level 3 Golf Fitness Coach and Golf Instructor. Shannon then started Dynamic Motion Golf Performance to help golfers improve their body and their game. As a Golf Instructor and a Fitness Professional she was able to help golfers maximize their potential through training and movement as well as technique. "As much as I loved teaching golf, I knew I could make a greater impact by helping my clients create their own resilient and powerful golf bodies."
Shannon has enhanced her learning even further adding in certifications in Functional Range Assessments and Functional Range Conditioning. Shannon's knowledge and experience has enabled her to help clients of any age and skill level improve their health and performance.
